Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting issue is faced by almost every windows user. It is easy fix if you know its root caused , So in this article we will fix it with 5 best ways. Lets' talk about the possible reasons of this issue. 


1. Windows 10 has introduced power saving option and other feature to reduce the power usages , But sometime it may cause the issue. 

2. Outdated driver is being used by many users by which they may face this issue , Since driver is the main component to run any service in windows or other operating system. Using correct driver is the most important for every user. 

3. Incorrect configuration: 

If WiFi connection or Router is not configured correctly you may face this type of error so make sure configuration is correct.

4. Hardware issue:

Damaged hardware can cause this issue as well because if there is hardware issue on you system or modem than no setting or trick is going to help you. You can ping your system to 127.0.0.0. If you are getting reply that means no issue with hardware if not please get it checked. 

METHOD 1. ENABLE PRIVATE CONNECTION.

You should make your connect private in order to solve this issue so lets move how to do that?.

1 Go to you "WIFI icon"  click on it and select connected WIFI connection then click on "Properties" Now you need to choose "Private connection" then exit from this setting.  

 2 Make sure it is private.

 If you have already selected above then go to next fix. 

METHOD 2. UNCHECK SAVING POWER OPTION.  

 

In order to save the power windows has a feature that can cause this issue . So it is better to uncheck that option from "device manager". 

1. Go to"Search bar " and type "Device Manager" then choose "Network & Adapters". Now you need to identify you WiFi driver

2. Right click on you WiFi driver and then go to "Properties".


 3. Now you need to look for "Power Management" and uncheck the option "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power" and "OK".


4 Now check you issue should be fixed if you did so if not follow the next method using commands.

 

METHOD 3. RESET IP AND CLEAR CACHE.

Resetting IP can fix this problem. In this step we will release old IP also will clear the cache. 

1 You must have admin rights for performing this step.

2.  Go to "Search bar" and type "CMD" Now right click on "Command prompt" and "Run as administrator". 

3. You need to hit enter after each command.

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
arp -d *
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

4. Now restart your system you are good to go, If you are still facing the issue you need to enable WiFi services so how to do that?.

  METHOD 4. TURN ON WIFI SERVICE.

For running WiFi smoothly your WiFi services must be turned on, Since this service is directly responsible for running WiFi.  

1. Press "Windows + R" and type "services.msc" Or you can simply type "services " on "search bar"

2. Scroll down to find the “WLAN Auto Config” service in the list of services.

3. double click on "WLAN Auto Config" and "Startup type" should be "Automatic " do the same as below reference.

4. You need to check its "Status" must be running if you found "Stopped" click on "Run". 

 


  METHOD 5. UPDATE NETWORK DRIVER.

If all above steps did not help you its now time to update the right driver for your system as i mentioned above that driver is the most important component for running wifi. 

1 Go to "Search Bar" And type "Device Manager" click on it Or you can press "B" and type "devmgmt. msc"hit "OK". 

2. Now search for your "WiFi" driver right click on it and select "Update Driver".

3. Select "Browse my computer for driver"


 4. Then "Let met pick up from list of available driver on my computer"

5. Now you need to select updated driver as per date and "Next" or you can select your old driver. 

6. You need to "Restart" your system each time when you chose different driver.

  

7. If you have Ethernet connection you can "Search Automatically for driver". 

8. You can also go to manufacturer website to download the right driver for your system. 

9. For following above option you need to click on "Uninstall" when you right click on WiFi driver.

 

10 Then click on" Uninstall". and go to manufacturer website to download the right driver.
