5 Ways To Fix Wifi Adapter Missing In Device Manager On Windows 10 and 11

METHOD 1. TROUBLESHOOT

Windows has a powerful tool to solve any problem by its own and many times troubleshooter can fix your problem. Troubleshooter also provides the cause of issue you are facing. 

1. You need to go to "Search Bar" and type "Troubleshoot Setting" after that you need to find" Additional Troubleshooter" Then find "Internet Connections" and "Run the troubleshooter".


 

If troubleshoot did not fix your problem you need to follow next step.

METHOD 2. SCAN FOR HARDWARE CHANGES.

This step will help you to find your Wi-Fi adapter missing because sometimes Wi-Fi or other driver hides itself may be various reason like malware infection inappropriate Windows update or incorrect hardware changes. 

1. Go to "Windows Search Bar" and type "Device Manager".

2. Now you need to find "Network Adapter" and expand it with click.

3. You now look for your "Wi-Fi Adapter" as shown below.

This method will reset all you bad configuration and surely help to resolve the problem. You need to just have admin rights to perform this task. This command can be run in "Administrator Mode". 

1. Go to "Windows Search Bar" and type "CMD" right click on it and "Run as administrator" then prompt will open click on "Yes"

2. Type below command and hit Enter.

netsh winsock reset

3. Now restart your system, If you are still facing this issue you can follow one more command to fix. This step will reinstall all the Wi-Fi adapters which is needed for windows.

 3. Your computer will be shutdown automatically so better is to restart the system .

netcfg -d

 type your system name.

1. You need to go to "Manufacturer Website " for driver installation because third party website

can hack or leak your confidential data. Simply third party software is not good.

2. Download the latest driver and paste the "Driver Setup" to Pen Drive or other mode.

3. Now you need to install the setup and restart your system.
