Windows Hello Face is an extra layer of security for your system. You can use it to unlock your Windows 10 device, but sometimes the facial recognition option shows you an error "we couldn't find a camera compatible windows hello face". We will try best method to solve this issue on windows 10.
Windows shows you many error but there is solution available.
METHOD 1. INSTALL WINDOWS HELLO FACE
We all know that driver is the main component for running any service in windows like audio , Wi-Fi or camera . So make sure that face driver is installed on your system if you don't have its driver follow.
1. You need to go to "This PC \ C \Windows\System 32\Winbioplugins\face driver as shown below.
2. Now right click on "Face Driver" and "Install" the driver and restart your system.
METHOD 2 . RESET HELLO FACE BIO-METRIC DATABASE
Sometimes old files can cause this issue so its better to reset bio metric database and configure fresh setting in your system.
1. Go to "Search bar" and type "Run" click on same option or press windows +R button and type "services.msc" .
2. Search for "Windows biometric service" and "double click" on it as shown below.
3. Now click on "Stop" and "OK".
4. Now go to "This pc\Windows\System32\Winbiodatabase Now right click on whatever files you look here and click on "Delete" as shown.
5. Now go back to "Win bio -metric service" and click on "Run" the service again which you stopped earlier.
METHOD 3. INSTALL WINDOWS HELLO FACE MANUALLY.
If your windows hello face is still not working you need to install this option manually . Windows has option to download this option , So you need to follow the steps.
1. Go to "Start Menu" and choose "Settings" Then "Apps " .
2. Click on "Optional Features" and make sure follow as below.
3. Click "Find" and type "windows hello face " in search box and click on "install".
3. If you could not face the windows hello face in search bar you need to click on "+Button" and type the same as above and "install " .
METHOD 4. . REINSTALL WINDOWS HELLO FACE.
If your Windows Hello Face is actually not availeble on your system , You need to reinstall it. Go to Windows Setting and Then Apps . Now select Apps and Feature then Optional Features.
Now select Windows Hello face. And click on Uninstall, You need to Restart the PC and Reinstall Windows Hello Face.
METHOD 5 UPDATE CAMERA DRIVER.
Old driver can lead this problem it is better to use latest driver for windows hello face .
Go to "Device Manager" select "Camera", right-click on your "webcam" and select
Update driver to install the latest camera driver version for your webcam.
Alternatively, go to your camera manufacturer's website and check if there are any additional updates available.
2. You can also go to check for update and update your system . If you are using updated version of windows then you might not face this issue.
3. You should be getting message like "You are up to date".
Please note that many systems have option of windows hello face but they actually don't support this option. So please do search before trying this option.
