If you are giving an official presentation and the audio is turned off, then it can be a loss for you, then do not worry, we are going to tell you the complete solution in this article. You need to follow one by one.
METHOD 1. MAKE SURE AUDIO IS NOT MUTED.
Sometime audio can be muted unintentionally or other reason, You need to check if you have any physical key in many laptop there is a key on keyboard which enable and disable audio.
First how to check your system is not muted.
1. Go to "Audio Icon" and check there is no cross mark on the speaker. If you found cross mark on it that means your audio is muted accidentally as shown below.
2. Make sure it is selected 100% volume in order to increase the volume level drag it from right to left. If this is not the case you need to follow next step.
METHOD 2. RUN AUDIO SERVICE.
Running audio service is also very important for smooth functioning of audio or sound in system. So make sure no service stopped if audio service is stopped you need to run it. Sometime it is stopped without any reason.
1. You need to press "Windows key + R" button together and type "services.msc" or you can simply go to "Search bar" and type "Services".
2. Now you need to search for "Windows Audio" the double click on it .
3. Make sure its service is running as shown below.
4. You need to select "Startup type" Automatic and also its service should be running if found stopped click on "Run" as shown below.
5. Now exit from service box and restart your system.
METHOD 3. RUN WINDOWS TROUBLESHOOTER.
Windows troubleshooter can fix many problem since windows has advanced feature to recognize the problem and solve issue itself.
1. Go to "Search bar" and type "Troubleshoot Setting" click on "Troubleshoot Setting" Then "Additional Troubleshooter" as shown below.
2. Search "Playing Audio " and Click on "Run the troubleshooter" let this run this will fix your issue.
METHOD 4. UPDATE AUDIO DRIVER
Outdated driver can also cause audio is not working on windows 10 because old driver does not support always in windows system . Now you need to update the driver to fix this issue.
1. Go to "Device Manager" simply type "Device manager "on "Search bar".
2. Search for "Video and game controller "option as shown below
3. Right click on your audio driver and click on "Update" the "Search Automatically for driver" make sure you are connected to internet.
4. Select all driver which is showing on your system related to audio.
METHOD 5. UNINSTALL AUDIO DRIVER
If above step did not help you, Then we are going to uninstall the audio driver . Uninstalling does not mean your driver will be deleted . Driver will be reinstalled automatically after restarting your system.
You need to follow step 4 for doing this step.
1 Go to "Device Manager" simply type "Device manager "on "Search bar".
2. Search for "Video and game controller ".
3. Right click on "Audio Driver" and select "Uninstall" and don't check the delete option. After clicking on uninstall you must restart your system your driver will be back with no issue.
METHOD 6. CHECK AUDIO CABLE
If wire is broken no step is going to help you so make sure there is no damaged on wire or hardware.
You can also check your speaker and headphones is not muted . You can check your hardware with other working computer and check problem probably with hardware.
