5 Proven Method To Solve WiFi adapter not working in Windows 10

 Wi-Fi problem is normal in Windows and this problem is seen a lot, now if you are troubled by this problem then you in the right place. There are various reasons of Wi-Fi issue like driver is not working properly, windows update, roll back driver causing the issue or malware infected your system. 

 



METHOD 1: TROUBLESHOOT 

This is basic and first method for every user since almost every windows user uses this trick to solve the issue but unfortunately it does not work always but it will give you hint of the problem caused. So applying this method is good deal to try. 

1. First go to Wi-Fi icon and you need to right click on it then choose "Troubleshoot problems" and follow the same. 




2. You need to tick on "All network adapters". 



3. Let this run and detect the problem and try run as admin you get this option. You can also follow the suggested steps by troubleshooter. 


                    METHOD 2: UPDATE WIFI DRIVER

Updating driver may fix this problem and we observe this issue occurs due to wrong or old driver is being used, so its better to update the driver . If you can use ethernet or net access which you can update the driver and if you can't use internet then i will guide you how you can follow both steps. 

1. Right click on "Start Menu" or simply type "Device manger" on search bar and choose the same. 


2. You need to find and expand the option  "Network Adapter" and then identify you Wi-Fi driver. Now right click on it and click on "update driver". 



3. If you are connected to Ethernet then choose "Search Automatically for driver".


 
4. Then if you got this message "The best driver for already installed".If your driver is updated then restart your system.


5. If are not connected to internet then choose same option right click on "Wi-Fi driver " then choose update driver and this time choose "Browse my computer for driver"


6. Then choose "Let me pick from a list of available driver" and click on "Next". 



7. Now you need to choose updated driver as per date or you can choose previously working driver. One thing you can do is choose all options one by one .After performing this step you must restart your system.  



You can also roll back you driver if you are facing this issue after updating your windows. 



METHOD 3: GET NEW IP ADDRESS

Sometime old IP can cause this issue  so you can get fresh IP . This can fix your prblem so lets follow how to get new IP Address. 
1 You need to go to command prompt go to search bar and type CMD run as administrator.
These command will refresh you cache and misconfiguration. 

 
Type or paste the following lines into Command Prompt  and press Enter after each one:

netsh winsock reset

netsh int ip reset

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew
Now you must restart your computer for applying all changes. 

METHOD 4: RESET YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS

1. Go to Start menu "Settings" then select "Network and Internet"or you can press "Widnows + I " Button together to access "Setting Option". 


2. Now click on "Network Reset".


3. Now click on "Yes" Option , If you use VPN you may reconfigure this since you all setting will be reset by performing this step. 


4. Save your work your system will be restarted automatically in 5 Minutes. After that reconnect your Wi-Fi and make sure reenter the credentials. 

METHOD 5: REBOOT OR RESET YOUR ROUTER
If nothing works then you can reboot your router or reconfigure it. There are many cases when Router is the main culprit of this issue. You can also reset your router , You can find the button on the back side of the Router.
